AdBlue, SCR & NOx Sensor Diagnostics in Hyderabad
Many modern diesel cars use a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system, which injects AdBlue (a urea solution) into the exhaust to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions. NOx sensors monitor how well it works.
I Car Service diagnoses and repairs AdBlue, SCR and NOx sensor faults in-house at our Madhapur workshop, for diesel car owners across Hyderabad.
Common AdBlue and SCR Warning Signs
An AdBlue warning or countdown message on the dashboard
An SCR, emissions or NOx sensor fault message
Warnings that continue after the tank has been refilled
Reduced power or limp mode alongside an emissions warning
Crystal deposits or a sharp ammonia smell around the system
What We Check First
Several different parts can trigger the same dashboard message, so we identify which one before recommending a repair.
Stored fault codes and live data from the SCR system
AdBlue level, quality and the correct fluid for your vehicle
NOx sensors, their readings, wiring and connectors
The pump, heater, dosing injector and lines, including signs of crystal build-up
Related exhaust and engine faults that can set the same warnings
Repair Options
We explain what was found and the options before any work starts.
SCR system diagnostics
Finding which component or condition is behind the warning.
NOx sensor diagnostics and repair
Testing sensor readings and addressing faulty sensors or wiring.
AdBlue system repair
Fixing pump, heater, dosing or line faults found during inspection.
Related repair
Addressing exhaust or engine faults that are triggering the warning.
Do Not Ignore an AdBlue Countdown
On many vehicles, an AdBlue warning counts down and can eventually prevent the engine from restarting once it expires. Refilling does not always clear a warning if a component fault is behind it.
Get a countdown checked before it runs out rather than after the car will not start.
How It Works
1. Request
Call, WhatsApp or use the Request Service form with your make, model, year and what you noticed.
2. Test & Inspect
A technician reads fault codes, checks live data and inspects the vehicle at our Madhapur workshop.
3. Approve
We explain what was found and the repair options. Work starts only after you approve.
4. Handover
Your car is returned with the work explained. Ask us about anything you want clarified.
Which Vehicles?
Not every diesel has an SCR or AdBlue system. Fitment depends on the make, model, engine and emission standard. Share your vehicle details and we will confirm what applies.
We check premium European diesels as well as other makes that may carry an SCR system. That does not mean every model has an AdBlue or SCR system.
What Affects the Cost
Cost depends on which part is at fault, whether that is a sensor, pump, heater or dosing component, or the AdBlue itself, and on whether the system needs further checks after the repair. We diagnose first so you are not quoted for the wrong part. You approve the estimate before any work starts.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the AdBlue warning mean?
It can mean low fluid, or a fault in a sensor, pump, heater or the SCR system. The message alone does not say which, so a check is needed.
Why is the warning still on after I refilled AdBlue?
A component fault or a reading problem may be behind it. Diagnosis finds the cause.
What does a NOx sensor do?
It measures nitrogen oxides in the exhaust so the system can check whether the SCR is working properly.
Can I keep driving with an AdBlue countdown?
Only until it expires. On many vehicles the engine will not restart afterwards, so it should be checked before then.
Does my car have an SCR system?
It depends on the make, model, engine and emission standard. Share your vehicle details and we will confirm.
